Maybe its a Mojito Weekend!
C4W turned 6 months old last week... and the baby phat was shed, a new more mature, secure and definite Cigars4Women has emerged. A turn or rather return to the intention of C4W arose from her maturity, much like women do, and her true identity is solidified. My vision for C4W was always to be a warm, nurturing site for women - women in general, but with a focus on Women who Smoke Cigars - because, I am a Woman who Smokes Cigars, and of course, I have a personal vested interest in her content... and all would be welcome, female or male....and most of all, be a site to share....launch and promote...to be what ever she needs it to be...and She's Growing Up....
but what have my friends been up to!!
Well I took some time this weekend, and did a little cruising...stopped by my buddy CigarInspector - and no wonder he's one of the best cigar sites in town.. Along with great cigar reviews, a new added flavor, Cigar Tips are being offered as periodics...here's this week's...
Ever have a cigar develop a bitter taste towards the end but you just didn’t want to put it down yet?
The bitter tastes that develops can be somewhat alleviated by purging your cigar as you smoke it. When you smoke your cigar most of the essential oils that provide so much of the flavor will burn up while a small amount builds up in the filler leaf creating bitter flavors.
To purge your cigar start by knocking off any ash, put the cigar in your mouth like you are going to puff and instead blow gently back through the cigar. If your cigar is still lit, continue to blow gently through the cigar, rotating it slowly, until you can see a bright orange ring of fire around the base of the entire coal on the cigar.
Next time try purging your cigar so you can enjoy it to the nub!
Thanks, Cigar Inspector - happens to me all the time!!!
Walt over at Stogie Review opines on the Isla de Cuba Aged Maduro...

What I like the most about Walt's reviews is how takes us from the very begining to the end of the cigar - through each third of the cigar, he describes the cigar's performance, flavors, and if there is a certain characteristic of the cigar that stands out...favorable or not...his reviews are honest and not influenced.
Thanks Walt!
And my gurl Lisa B's Her Humidor - has the best all woman show around! Her new layout is to die for, elegant, and crystal clear...I love it!
Lisa reviewed the Cienfuegos Engine No. 7 she starts off ..."First off, I wish to thank Mr. Frank Santos (Marketing Director for Reyes Family Cigars) for sending me a sampler pack consisting of five cigars: Cienfuegos, Puros Indios Viejo, Cuba Aliados, Reyes Family Classic and Reyes Family Premier. I look forward to smoking and reviewing all the cigars."
I love the way she reviews - its almost as though she's one on one with her reader. Her reviews are very informational in conversational tone - a sample....here's what I mean...
"Today, I felt the Cienfuegos Engine No. 7 calling my name so I decided to smoke that first. The Engine No. 6 size recently received a 90 rating from Cigar Aficionado. Puros Indios Cigars introduced the Cienfuegos in 2003. The Spanish name "Cienfuegos" translates to 100 fires. This cigar comes in six sizes all with names with a fire station theme. The Engine No. 7 is a churchill which is a comfortable 48 ring gauge by 7 inches. It's funny, when they first debuted, Cigar Aficionado had an article which described these cigars as "bargain priced". The expected retail cost of Engine No. 7 was $2.80. Flash back to today, this cigar retails for around $10. After smoking this cigar I would say that it is worth more the later than the former price."
Could it be the feminine spin....??
