September 22 - the first day of Autumn....
Here we go - time to prepare for the chill, the wet and the wind....
The memory of Summer...I leave you with the Summer Edition....
Construction Flawless... even burn, easy light, with a smooth draw and billowing white smoke! I picked up the fruity flavor - didn't associate it with lemon, as other reviewers have - but the fruit flavor could very well have been lemon. The spice was also very bold to me...but what I found interesting was that the spice drifted in and out throughout my smoke.
All through, from begining to end, the cigar remained consistent in its performance. For me what's important in a cigar is its ability to provide relaxation while I smoke. I don't want to analyse the cigar or have any concern with its smoke. Rocky Patel's Summer Edition did just that - allowed me to kick back, and enjoy each leg of the journey. The ash remained firm and took me to lay it down and remove before it was able to fall off itself - an indicator of top notch construction. The band popped off easily. And toward the end of the second leg, the cigar kicked into full gear with an explosion of body, nuttiness, spice and the fruity flavor.
By the final finish, I did have a little cracking of the wrapper, but I attribute that to my handling.
All in all, I thought the RP Summer was very fitting for a lazy hazy day in the summer. Even though it is September. I give the cigar, the coveted Lady's Nod!
winter...cute jackets I suppose....? have a great week, Damsel...
