Women and Cigars - a lethal combination? |

I don't know my brothers....u tell me With all the planning...the number crunching....conference calls...research and more research...this is where I call home...Here and Life in Transition, Cigar Anyone... my center, and when it all gets crazy...I can pull back, sit at my keyboard, and just talk....smyle....so, that's what I need to do today...
and I wanna talk about my sisters....
There's this woman cigar smoker who recently joined C4W. She's a cigar shop owner, widowed with children, a dog and a home in a small town in the heartland of America. An avid cigar lover, she writes a blog about her daily experiences as a tobacconista, and life as a woman. I cruised her blog last night, and typically I leave my cruise reporting on the blogoshpere for the weekend, but my sister's blog just stayed in my head, and I felt a post coming on!
I've always said that women cigar smokers are a very unique breed. All individual women with separate characteristics and personality traits, but with an underlying thread of commonality. It is this underlying commonality thread that draws us together with a desire to share with others and nest. I suspect its my analytic sense and great gift of abstract thinking which motivated me to peel back the layer to discover my own commonality with my sisters of the leaf. So, it's from my own personal experience as a woman cigar smoker that drew me into this journey. I mean, let me be real here - I left behind a comfortable profession, one that I became very well established with a stable, but mediocre future, to explore and devote time developing my passion. Isn't that what life is about? Following ones passion....
therein lies the heart of the Cigar Woman... From the professional or the stay at home - homemaker, to the cigar industry rep and single woman shop owner - even all the way down the long list to our sisters who indulge on a more adult nature...We share an independance and inner strength with one another. Our similarity may take a form which appears differently from the other, but this similarity is our independance and strength. And when you shed the petals of the rose, our defining sweet smell of confidence emanates and weaves us together. We are daring, we are groundbreakers and we smoke cigars because we can...
And more and more of us are coming out of the kitchen, or from behind the closed door - it is our revival, and we are just begining!
thanks for listening....
