The Great Cigar Merge of 2008...

and the natives in Gotham are restless....

And then Davidoff acquires Camacho...the Camacho camp and its cigar fans must be in whirlwind...

So I took a cruise around, checked out the reaction in the e-cigar community, and responses of the masses differed greatly.  I thought ClubStogie was by far the most welcoming and supportive of the merge. From the posting, and I admit that true impressions are difficult to discern simply by typed words, but the underlying feeling was one of excitement in what the future holds.  And one cigar forum I visited, which does not have any interest in this merge, bashed and re-bashed the intention of the new owner; that discovery did not surprise me in the least bit.

Now what will happen to the Camacho camp - I found this priceless response to the news at CigarFamily.com....

"What'll the outcome be? Camacho scaling upward, or Davidoff plunging down to the dog rocket level?"

 

IMHO, those that bash, bash out of fear...those that don't see innovation as progress and opportunity to accomplish, are unaccomplished settlers who punish with words that which makes them uncomfortable. I don't understand the misunderstanding from those who penalize the entreprenurial in this culture. They beat us up, and question our intent because we choose to combine our professional and creative lives with our passion for cigars.  They claim we are misleading, and only participate in the cigar community for the "buck" - I'm no mogul, but I've been accused of having another agenda...I've said this all along...

I'm a Woman who Smokes Cigars...a Life in Transition...if my passion should open doors of opportunity where I would accomplish, and exceed my goals in life...then I am blessed, even more than I could have imagined...
