with Alec Bradley's Spirit of Cuba
Corojo that is....

Usually when I review a cigar - I plan to review before I begin the smoke. I hadn't planned to review the Corojo, as the Spirit of Cuba is my "gotta cigar - will smoke" cigar, and I always keep this cigar on hand just for that... Reason, I pick up this inexpensive stick for under 2 bucks at the Marysville Liquor store, just to have on hand...

But this afternoon was a little different - hence this impromptu review!

I began this cigar, paired with a Pellegrino, which I might add, great accompaniment - I'm away from my family this weekend, so enjoying a cigar is the highlight... As I said, Alec Bradley's Spirit of Cuba has never disappointed me, and the Corojo was no exception. Very smooth, with that ever so mild nutty flavor of the Corojo.

The burn was very even, which is so huge for me - and billowed with white smoke...The ash held on, not as long as others and fell off itself, which to me, was the only "ding" in its smoke. Its construction and draw was perfect, and for such an inexpensive stick, it placed second to no other more higher priced premiums I'm smoking! I picked up a slight bite of licorice, with a rich tobacco flavor all the way to the end.

This is an impromptu review, off the top of my head... but for a lazy hazy long weekend away from the family Sunday, this Corojo gets my Lady's Nod!
