Paperboy to the Stars?

Celebrity and cigars seem to go hand in hand, which to me, is no wonder. I've always viewed my love of the cigar to have a link with luxury.  In other words, cigars are directly associated as a love for the finer things in life. I also believe the reasons attributing to the individual's taste and purpose behind their love of the cigar, is just that - an individual taste. Far and wide, coast to coast, nation to nation, gender non-specific; we share a bond, a comonality - the love of the leaf. Our economic or social status knows no boundaries, and that is the beauty of our cigar culture.

Vince Curatola came from a hard working middle-class family. As a young boy, he became the paper-boy to celebrities such as  Sarah Vaughn, Dizzy Gillespie, Jerry Vale, Tony Bennett, Lesley Gore, and Van McCoy.  His success grew just as the celebrities he delivered to, and he is better known to us now, as Johnny Sack on the recently concluded phenomenal hit series The Sopranos. Johnny Sack was part of the pop culture and success of the Sopranos.  Often filmed with a cigarette in hand, Vince soon gave up smoking and picked up the passion of the cigar. The series filmed its last episode, but his new found hobby turned into a full fledged fascination.  According to an article from Cigar Magazine, Vince now shares his love of the leaf, and admits to being a new comer going "full tilt".....

"He's since amassed a huge collection of humidors and has sampled an impressive multitude of cigar styles—CAO, La Gloria Cubana, Punch, to rattle off a few. "But I really love the Montecristo White. That is my go to cigar," he says, 'But still being a newcomer, I am always open to suggestions.'" Source: Cigar Magazine

So - albeit, Celebrity, Professional, husband - father, wife - mother; blue collar or white - we share a comanality with our brothers and sisters of the leaf. Our cigar culture knows no boundaries....
