"Paired with deliciously fragrant cognac, the rich, roasted aromas of coffee or even a strong, savory red wine, a good cigar offers a wealth of flavor nuances to the discerning palate."

Some of the things I have tasted in a mouthful of smoke from a good cigar are:

  • Coffee and cream (Dominican Montecristo #2 torpedo)
  • Bittersweet chocolate (Don Suerte vintage 1984)
  • Milk chocolate (Habana Gold, white label)
  • Roasted chile and cocoa (Licenciados 400 robusto, maduro)
  • Roasted nuts (El Rico Habano Grand Corona)
  • Toasted pecans (Cuban Flor de Rafael Gonzales Panatelas Extras)
  • Aged Spanish leather (Cuban Vegas Robaina)
  • Cinnamon and spice (Cuban Punch Corona)
  • Burnt espresso and dark stout (a Cuban Montecristo #2, whew!)
  • Green tea and grass (Vintage Royal Butera)

In other cultures around the world, the custom of smoking may be percieved as gender neutral, masculine or feminine, more or less arbitrarily. Restricting the privilege of enjoying a smoke to men is a relatively recent historical trend, and one which seems to be fading in popularity as more women - and men - realize that the pleasures of tobacco belong rightfully to both sexes.

Bravo Bay Gourmet! More and more, both men and women are drawn together by sharing the customs, and delicasies of their cigar of choice. Discussions on individual tastes, events, and special contests are popping up everywhere on the internet and in cigar shops nationwide. Gender bias is slowly fading to black! Women are being included in herfs, and their opinions count! Women have so much to share with the BOTLs and it just causes me great excitement to know we are pressing forward with the good fight ladies!

I would add my favorite pairing to the mix Bay Gourmet:

Camacho's Triple M, as reviewed by Damsel at Social Cigar Ratings and Reviews

    Country: Honduras
    Wrapper: Maduro
    Filler: Maduro
    Size: Robusto 4.5?x50 ring

I have a trick up my sleeve when smoking a daring cigar such as the Camacho Triple M - accompany the cigar with a nibble of chocolate!

The deep richness and full body of the Triple Maduro partners extremely well with a piece of chocolate, a swallow of a Red Cabernet - just enough between draws to accent the palate!  Its a wonderful combination.

And ladies, satisfies that need for a sweeter cigar - the Camacho Triple M is too smooth a cigar to resist!

and don't forget Camacho's Corojo 10th Anniversary in stores this month!
