Four Laws of Yin-yang?

Yin (? or ? "shady place, north slope, south bank (river); cloudy, overcast"; Japanese: in or on; Korean: ?, Vietnamese: âm) qualities are characterized as passive, dark, feminine, negative, downward-seeking, consuming and corresponds to the night.

Yang (? or ? "sunny place, south slope, north bank (river), sunshine"; Japanese: yo; Korean: ?, Vietnamese: duong) qualities are characterized as active, light, masculine, positive, upward-seeking, producing and corresponds to the daytime.

Apparently as male or female, the sexes have both the "Yin and the Yang" - we are beings created in a natural sense of both feminine and masculine energies. The attraction between the two are based upon the levels of energy drawn together by either the feminine and/or the masculine - better known as - the "Yin-yang". Upon reaching an equal balance between the sexes, a relationship is formed and the energies become as one.

"The concept of yin and yang (or earth and heaven) describes two opposing and, at the same time, complementary (completing) aspects of any one phenomenon (object or process) or comparison of any two phenomena....

Yin and yang are two complementary qualities. That is to say, the yin and the yang aspect of any one phenomenon will, when put together, form the entire phenomenon. Yin-yang is a philosophy of duality."

The Modern day Love Guru believes that achieving a perfect balance of Yin and Yang between the sexes will result in a blissful union of man and woman. However, should the balance of Yin and Yang be altered, leaving the masculine or feminine energies unpolarized, the relationship is thrust into a downward spiral - and destiny is doomed or so the story goes. The question I have is how does one define the engergies?  Feminine, masculine, Yin or Yang - how do the sexes maintain their balance in the 21st Century? Is our beloved relationship doomed should the Yin Yang balance thrust out of sync with one another?

So has that been the problem!

Let's examine the 21st Century female - shall we.  And lets ask the question, how and when did the Chinese discover the energy of the Yin and the Yang? And then lets ask the question, what qualities and characteristics define the "female" and what defines the "male" aka the feminine and the masculine?

According to the Chinese, the Yin and Yang are generalized descriptions of the antitheses or mutual correlations in human perceptions of phenomena in the natural world, combining to create a unity of opposites. A theory dating as far back through traditional Chinese concepts, and too complex for a quick research. It is what it is, I suppose - for what I can readily assume, the meaning of Yin and Yang is ancient at best,  and considerations for the modern woman and her role today was not factored into the theory behind perfection in balance between opposites.

Enter the 21st Century Cigar Smoking Woman!

Ladies, I say to you - If you really want to knock old Yin out of its Yang - fire up that Onyx, Spirit of Cuba, or Camacho Coyolar while driving down the freeway and watch heads turn as you clench that cigar between your teeth!

The theory of finding a perfect balance of feminine and masculine is a grand one I admit - a romantic measure of true love and all that seems right with the world. But the challenges women have faced in everyday life has no doubtedly required she take on a more masculine presence, altering her levels of "Yang" for sure.  If we are to believe and trust in the theory of Yin-yang creating a blissful union, we are doomed with additional pressures in the balancing act called life!

and my "Yin" is as feminine as she comes - cigar smoking and all..... My "Yang" - piggy backs off my "Yin" and thats all good....

I'm just sharing my thoughts - Luv ya Damsel....
