"I've never smoked before but I'm very interested in giving cigars a try, mainly because of the looks (lol, I know, a bit shallow) but I think cigar smoking looks very sophisticated and chic..."

Yes, my friend a woman and a cigar is very sophisticated - she is chic.

me:
and it is...
lol, you think so too ?
me:  what i'm trying to achieve is an insight into the woman behind smoking a cigar...she is not only a leather and lace, but is the true essence of the "Renaissance Woman"...we are not all in "B" rated movies;
there is a deep historical culture behind the cigar...and that interests me;
besides the link to the Men who loves us...lol..
lol, well, I think that if it's well done, a woman smoking a cigar can be very glamorous and sexy....

but alas, my friend, be careful with what you wish, it may come true.

I say that to say this

This conversation with my reader struck the "cigar smoking among women is not a popularity winner, as portrayed by its glamor and sexual appeal" note. The attraction of a celebrity clenching and holding a cigar is enticing - no doubt. But cigar smoking is, not only among ladies who smoke cigars, but as a culture, still only accepted within a very limited social circle. Try lighting a stogie at an outdoor cafe and watch the scowls suddenly appear on a fellow patron's face - and if there is a no smoking by-law in place, lighting up is very much a no, no!

And on the dating scene - be certain if you date a non cigar smoking man, you don't suggest a cigar tasting event as a first date! He will either not call back, or agree to date you, but suggest strongly that "you change your lifestyle".  Be aware of the disappointment risks - if he's very interested in you - once you reveal your hidden secret, that interest may just go out the door. Be also aware of the "playa" he might want a fantasy fulfilled, and I refer you to my previous post and its YouTube on that one!

There is a certain skill-set
the 2007 Cigar Woman must develop. Most importantly I've discovered, and wish to pass on to my readers/friends, is "stay true to yourself". I'm a cigar smoking woman with class, a modern renaissance woman - A Life in Transition seeking the Modern Renaissance Man who enjoys smoking a cigar once in awhile! I smoke a cigar because I can, because I want to, and because I enjoy the company!

The purpose of this blog is to explore, and discover what makes the "Cigar Woman" tick - and along the way pass on anything worthwhile.

We've come a long way baby, but I think we still have a few rolling hills to climb!
