Tasting the World: Cigar’s From Different Countries
Original Post

"Most everyone is familiar with the much-lauded flavor of Cuban cigars. But how do you know if you’re smoking a Cuban cigar, or a cigar from any other country for that matter?

.....every cigar-producing country has its own unique flavor and character."
  • World famous Cuban cigars are renowned for their smoothness and ‘creamy’ flavors. They are applauded for their rich flavors and overall premium quality.
  • Cigars from Central American countries like Honduras and Nicaragua are known to be strong and rich in flavor.
  • Caribbean countries like Jamaica and the Dominican Republic are known for their milder flavors.
Just a tip for the beginner and my cigar smoking ladies out there!

Now what's everyone been up to in the blogosphere!

Five things from other cigar sites that I liked reading this week.

I especially like the reviews from Cigar Inspector. His reviews are clear and well written. I appreciated the Punch Double - I have one in the humidor waiting for my favor!

Patrick from Stogie Guys Quick Smoke reviewed the Don Elias Natural Robusto. This cigar is on its way out, once a $4 smoke, you can pick it up for about a buck and a half. Patrick thought it wasn't a bad mild stick, and gave it a "Hold" verdict.

How are the guys at The Daily Doormatt? Matt, Jason and Eric share their adventures and take on cigars, the cigar industry, politics in New Jersey, and living the good life. Thanks fellas for sharing your Christmas Eve ski trip - loved it, it looked like a great ski.

If you're in Cali - don't forget to stop by my friends at the Tobacco Barn, let them know the Cigar Woman, Damsel sent you!

Happy New Year.
